April 1st, 7 and a half weeks old.

Discovering another world outside the box has brought out a true revolution with all the cats we have. Lot's of things have changed in the last couple of weeks.

The big scratching post has been made into two smaller bits for the time being so that the little ones have something to play on. This seems to work out great. They're jumping from one platform to another, on to the couch and back on the ground. They keep running around the room pretending to fight with each other. This as a preparation for the "real life."

Knakkie, with the age of 16, is fed up with them and pretends the kittens are not there. If a kitten comes to close she will smack him. Every kitten now understands that they should leave Knakkie alone.

Even mommy Najra joins in with the games of the kittens sometimes.

Only our dog Ijoor is not allowed to even look at the kittens. He may be there and lay on his place, but he may not come near when they're eating or playing. He gets hit by Najra pretty frequently and the reason for that is unknown to us.
Maybe it's because Najra never grew up with a dog and is thinking of him as a threat now. Without the kittens around she has no trouble with Ijoor, but the whole thing is making her stressed. That's why Ijoor is getting some extra attention and we don't suppose he's suffering from it!

Every single kitten has been named by their future owners by now. The males will be named Tiago and Benji. The females will be named Amira, Indy, Doeschi and Maye. The weights vary from 657, 675, 740, 800, 830 to 890 grams. Yet there's no one better than the other.

The sprinkler (for the plants) is again an indispensable tool for raising the kittens. When one has the urge (and unfortunately they all do) to climb in the curtains or climb or bite in one of the plants, he or she will receive a shower. This way they'll think of the curtains or the plant as something unpleasant and they'll think twice the next time they feel the need to climb in the curtains or something. At least... we hope so. Experience has taught us that this is a fine raising method. So everything will turn out ok this time.
